Richard J. "Fuzzy" Boucher's Obituary
Richard J. “Fuzzy” Boucher, age 83, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 15, 1942, to Lloyd and Genevieve (Sterling) Boucher in Bay City, Michigan. He graduated from TL Handy High School, Class of 1960. Dick proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. On August 28, 1965, he married the love of his life, Mary Kobs, in Bay City, Michigan. Together, they shared 60 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and faith. Dick was a dedicated employee of Tri-City Welding/AGA Gas, where he worked in the welding industry for 35 years. An avid outdoorsman, Dick found great joy in hunting and spending time in the woods. He was incredibly talented with his hands, enjoying both drawing and woodworking, and creating many beautiful carvings. He also had a deep love for golf and cherished the many hours he spent out on the greens with friends and family. Above all, Dick treasured time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he was eagerly looking forward to becoming a great-grandfather. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, caring brother, and a dear friend to many. Dick was a kind, humble, and compassionate man, with a gentle nature. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Boucher; four children, Laurie (Douglas) Ziegelmann, Mitchell (Charlys) Boucher, Chad (Jodi) Boucher and Matthew (Mary) Boucher; seven grandchildren, Alexis, Austin (Brooke), Kaden, Avery, Aiden, Elizabeth and Brandon (Makayla); one great-grandson on the way; two sisters, Judy LeBrun(Joseph Sr.) and Kay Marie LeBrun(Joseph Jr.) LeBrun; and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law, Joseph LeBrun Jr, and Joseph LeBrun Sr. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2651 Shettler Rd., Muskegon, MI 49444. A visitation period for friends and family will be held from 12:30-2:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
