Richard "Butch" Denhof's Obituary
Mr. Richard “Butch” Denhof, 68, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born February 1, 1948 to Sherman and Mary Ann (Kennedy) Denhof in Muskegon, and lived almost all his life here. Butch worked at EBW for many years and was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea. He enjoyed baseball, the Lions, playing the lottery, and hunting. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Denhof; 2 children, Ryan (Bill) Rawdon, and Jody Thorsen; a stepson Eric Murphy; 2 grandchildren, Caitria and Alexia Rawdon; 2 sisters, Candace (Paul) Cole and Nancy (Lowell) Smith; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman; his brother Michael; and Ryan and Eric’s mother, Susan Murphy. A service celebrating Butch’s life will be held Tuesday, November 22, at 11:00 AM at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with Pastor John H. Brown officiating.
