Richard A. Cioe (Elijah) O.C.D.S.'s Obituary
Mr. Richard A. Cioe (Elijah) O.C.D.S, died trusting in our Lord for Eternal life on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was born on May 29, 1940 to Lawrence and Carolyn (Stone) Cioe. He proudly served in the US Navy. Dick retired in 2006 after working for 37 years as a senior sales administrator for Kaydon Corporation. He was a member of the secular Carmelites in the order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Teresa of Jesus. He has also served in the Legion of Mary and the Knights of Columbus. Rich will be sadly missed by his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Leanne (Mark) Duplissis; grandchildren, Aaron, Andrea, Nick, Katie and Joe Duplissis; great-grandson, Leo Duplissis; stepchildren, Amanda and Robert Weissert and step-granddaughter, Caitlyn Weissert. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Penny; son, Richard A. Cioe, Jr. and his brother, David P. Cioe. VISITATION will be from 3-6 PM Sunday, February 19, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with the Office of the Dead and the Holy Rosary prayed at 5 PM by Deacon Jim Schiltz. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (239 West Clay, Muskegon, MI 49440) with Rev. Fr. Matthew J. Barnum presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Samuel Omogo Foundation or Michigan Right to Life Education Fund.
