Richard "Dick" H. Cline's Obituary
Richard “Dick” H. Cline, age 86, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at his home in Fremont. He was born November 4, 1931 in Muskegon to Henry W. and Gladys (Gelinas) Cline and lived in the Muskegon area his entire life. He married the former Carol J. Boone on February 10, 1951 in Muskegon and she survives him. Dick worked over 20 years for Anaconda and later worked over 10 years for Consumers Power. He retired in 1996. Dick and Carol wintered in Sebring, FL for 19 seasons. He was an avid sportsman enjoying basketball, football and played on some baseball leagues over the years. He also enjoyed bear hunting in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He was a member of Moose Lodge in Fremont and was proud to have helped organize the Oakwood Resort on Campbell Lake in Hesperia where he was a longtime association member. SURVIVORS include his wife, Carol Cline of Fremont; 3 children, Jerry (Mike Marohn) Cline of Williamston, MI, Jody (Rod) Tober of Muskegon, Becky (Steven) Greenhoe of Lansing; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 sister-in-law, Char Boone. He was also preceded in death by 1 son, Randy Cline; 1 daughter, Pamela Lee Cline; his parents; 1 brother-in-law, Jake Boone and 1 sister-in-law, Phyllis Boone. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 11, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating.
