Mr. Richard "Dick" Corbin's Obituary
Mr. Richard A. “Dick” Corbin, age 86, passed away early Monday morning, February 25, 2013 in Muskegon. He was born July 25, 1926 to Ivan M. and Jennie L. (Davis) Corbin in Auburn Heights, MI, and lived in the N. Muskegon and Holton areas for the past 50 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Dick worked for Consumers Power Company as a Shift Supervisor at the Cobb Plant for 20 years, and previously as a Hydro Operator at the Reed City and Newaygo Hydro Dams. He enjoyed “talking books” and listening to the television. Dick was a member of Central Assembly of God. On May 24, 1947 he married Norma J. O’Neil in Baldwin, MI and she survives him along with six children, Pamela Jean Cabala of Muskegon, Keith Allen (Sue) Corbin of Muskegon, Colleen Gay Corbin of Muskegon, Robert Mark (Grace) Corbin of Holland, Jennice Leone Corbin of Muskegon, Maureen May (Brian) Ford of Ludington; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Garth (Gayle) Corbin of Florida, Lowell (Robin) Corbin of Reed City; 1 sister, Sandra (Terry) Garn of Coldwater. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 granddaughter, Emilee Ford; and 1 brother, Bill Corbin. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, at Central Assembly of God, with Dick’s son-in-law Pastor Brian Ford officiating.
