Mr. Richard W. "Dick" DePouw's Obituary
Mr. Richard W. “Dick” DePouw, age 72, loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and friend, passed away Sunday morning, June 3, 2012. He was born November 1, 1939 in Oconto, WI to Franklin and Agnes (Forsberg) DePouw. Dick was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a very devoted member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He worked for CWC for 37 years before retiring in 2000. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Dick was an avid cribbage player, enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, and wood working. On June 17, 1961 he married the former Barbara Lambert in Muskegon and she survives him along with 3 children, Raymond J. DePouw of Tampa, FL, Matthew W. (Sandra) DePouw, Steven L. (Angela) DePouw both of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Jared (Corrina) DePouw, Kristin DePouw, Ryan Doan, Taylor DePouw, Hailey DePouw; great-grandson, Jude Doan; brother, Roger (Joan) DePouw of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Karen Smith. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. VISITATION with the family will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565.
