Richard J. "Ric" DeYoung's Obituary
Richard J. “Ric” DeYoung, age 58, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born on January 15, 1958 to Richard M. and Mary C. (Auble) DeYoung and was a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area. Ric was a former mechanic and long haul trucker. He was a member of Friends on a Mission and also an avid mechanic. Ric enjoyed classic rock, Star Trek, karaoke and helping others whenever he could but foremost was always his family and friends. SURVIVORS include his 2 daughters, Abby (Jeremy) True and Cassie (Rose True) DeYoung; mother, Mary C. DeYoung; grandchildren, Jaidyn, Gabryella and Christian; brother, Dan (Sara) DeYoung; sisters, Karen (George) Valler and Bonnie (Ray) DeYoung-Neff; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard M. DeYoung. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. VISITATION will be held from 5-8 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to DaVita Dialysis.
