Richard "Dick" Alan Forrest's Obituary
Richard “Dick” Alan Forrest, age 87, passed away on May 9, 2025, in Muskegon, Michigan. Dick was born to J.V. and Recie Forrest on February 24, 1938, in Muskegon Michigan. Dick married his loving wife, Ruth (Ceton), on December 6, 1957, in Muskegon, Michigan. Dick worked as an engineer primarily for Continental Motors where he retired from in 2002. Dick was a gospel music enthusiast and spent many years singing in the church choir. He was also an outdoorsman and particularly enjoyed fishing and target shooting. In his retirement, Dick found a special fondness for old movies, particularly those featuring Judy Garland.
Dick will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ruth Forrest; children, Richard (Theresa) Forrest of Cedar, Michigan, and Terri (Gary) Bacon of Montague, Michigan; grandchildren, Chrystian Bacon and Chyna Bacon. Dick is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bob (Peg) Forrest, Margaret (Lavern) Bell, and James (Margaret) Forrest.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 15th, 2025, at Discovering Christ Church, 2330 Holton Rd, Muskegon, MI 49445. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or Discovering Christ Church.
