Richard Carl Fett's Obituary
Mr. Richard C. Fett, age 81, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on June 22, 1934 to Richard and Margaret (Westergren) Fett and was a life resident of the area. Dick graduated from Muskegon High School in 1952 and played on the 1951 Muskegon Football Team that was inducted into the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame. He was an avid Big Red’s fan, Detroit Tigers fan, and enjoyed fishing. Dick proudly served his country in the United States Army and had worked at Brunswick for 45 years before his retirement. On June 26, 1954, he married the former Shirley Anne Nedervelt in Muskegon and she survives him along with their three children, Sandy Fett, Jim (Dawn) Fett and Tom (Kari) Fett; eight grandchildren, Lauren (Jeff), Dustyn, Cole, Torrie, Trey, Aleayah, Journee, Dylan and one great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, August 27, 2015 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. with Rev. Ben Jansen officiating.
