Richard N. "Rocky" Gomery's Obituary
Richard N. “Rocky” Gomery, age 67, passed away on January 19, 2018. He was born on December 24, 1950 to Arthur and Teresa (Takats) Gomery, Sr. in Muskegon. Rocky served his country for 22 years as a Marine in Desert Storm both active and as a reservist. He was also treasurer of NERA for over 30 years. Rocky worked 35 years as a senior collector at Universal Savings Bank prior to retirement and as an Avon Representative most recently. SURVIVORS include his son, Gregory Gomery; 2 brothers, Arthur (Linda) Gomery and Gale (Barb) Gomery; 4 nieces, 1 nephew, 11 great-nieces and nephews. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Anne Gomery. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00AM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Pastor Jim Beezley. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS can be directed to American Diabetes Association.
