Richard Charles Hall's Obituary
Richard C. Hall, age 69, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020. He was born on April 17, 1951 to Charles and Kathleen (Lincoln) Hall in Greenville, MI.
Rick attended Ferris State University and graduated in 1972 with an Associate’s Degree in Radiography. He was employed at Mercy Hospital from 1972 until he joined the radiology department at North Ottawa Community Hospital as manager of radiology services in 1981. In 2002, Rick returned to Mercy Hospital as a member of the heart and vascular interventional radiology department where he worked until his retirement in 2015. Rick was a dedicated health care professional who remained committed to patients throughout his career.
Rick spent many years watching and participating in sporting and school events with his children, and many recent years spending time playing with his grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as “Grumpy.” Rick also enjoyed tinkering in his workshop and rebuilding antique trucks with his friends. Rick was always quick with kind words, gentle smiles, and clever jokes.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Tami Hall; children, Joel (Dinah) Hall, Kimberlee Hall, Kyle (Debbie) Hall; grandchildren, Mia, Olivia, Ethan, Wyatt, Jayla, Maycee, Sylas, Tenley, Lawsyn; sisters, Kathy Sherd, Kris Bilello; many nieces and nephews; and bonus child Wendy Mzuka. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws Joe and Coleen Foster; and brothers-in-law, David Sherd and Tony Bilello.
A memorial open house for Rick will take place on both Saturday, October 3, 2020 and Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 12:00 – 5:00 PM at the family’s home where Rick’s well-known pirate flag will be flown at half-mast. Feel free to share a memory with the family at www.sytsemafh.com.
