Richard T. Holbrook's Obituary
Richard T. Holbrook, age 95, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021. He was born on October 9, 1925 to King and Gertrude (Woods) Holbrook in San Leandro, CA. He was a proud veteran, serving his country in the US Marine Corp for 22 years. He served during both WWII and the Korean War. After leaving the service, he dedicated his life working as a sales representative for various companies. On October 20, 1951 he married the love of his life, the former Margaret Douglas in Seattle, WA. Together they cherished 66 years of marriage full of love and laughter. She preceded him in death on June 13, 2018. Richard was an avid golfer and truly enjoyed a good jig saw puzzle. He and Margaret also enjoyed taking their RV and traveling together. They visited every state together eight separate times. Richard will always be remembered for his sweet and loving nature. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Margaret Holbrook. A limited burial with military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1915 Park St., Muskegon, MI 49441. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441.
