Richard Fredrick "Dick" Knight's Obituary
Mr. Richard Fredrick “Dick” Knight, age 84, passed away in Muskegon on Sunday, December 15, 2024. He was born in Remus, Michigan on October 19, 1940 to E.H. and Marion (Smith) Knight. Dick graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School in 1958. He was employed by Sealed Power as a Journeyman Millwright for 40 years prior to his retirement in 2003. Dick enjoyed NASCAR, Detroit Lions football, and golfing on the Sealed Power Retirees League. He also enjoyed his family and the lifelong friendships he made in the Muskegon area. On February 27, 1965, Dick married the former Susan Schossow and she preceded him in death on March 2, 2022. He is survived by three children, Erick (Maureen Maglione) Knight of Sarasota, Florida, David Knight of Interlochen, Michigan, and Amy Medema of Norton Shores; three grandchildren, Alesha Knight, Ethan Medema, and Jax Medema; and his sister, Betty Bluhm. In addition to his wife, Susan, Dick was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward Knight and Lawrence Knight.
