Richard L. Kuharevicz's Obituary
Richard L. Kuharevicz, age 89, passed away Sunday morning, October 23, 2016. He was born October 30, 1926 in Muskegon to Michael and Sophia (Kendra) Kuharevicz and had been a life resident of the area. Richard was graduate of Muskegon Heights High School and a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran. On April 29, 1950 he married the former Alice Witkowski in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on August 6, 2007. Richard worked 47 years for Midwest Machine prior to his retirement in 1989. He was a dedicated and long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include 5 children: Mary Jane (Dan) Lewis, Susan (Marty) Morin, Bob Kuharevicz all of Muskegon, Don Kuharevicz of New York, Paul (Kathy) Kuharevicz of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita (Clair) Rederstorf of Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law: Virginia and Phyllis Kuharevicz; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by 5 brothers: Vic, Chet, Ed, Harry, and Bob Kuharevicz; and 3 sisters: Vee Johnson, Florence Lewandowski, and Dorothy Kuharevicz. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565 with the Rosary prayed at 6:00 PM. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
