Richard "Rick" Miller's Obituary
Richard M. “Rick” Miller, 62, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, in Muskegon. Rick was born February 14, 1961, to Richard P. and Vicky L. (Schort) Miller in Muskegon and lived most of his life here. Rick loved music of all kinds, especially when he was playing on his drums or singing, with a band, or on his own, or writing music for others to play and sing. Rick loved tinkering with cars, bikes, or anything mechanical that needed fixing, or just improving. He also enjoyed time with his family, his wife, and with his dogs. On May 15, 1993, Rick married Lisa Ann Sheridan in Illinois and she survives him along with one son Zachary Hale; three grandchildren; his parents Dick and Pat Miller; siblings: Paula Miller, Sandy Lovrencevic, Julie (Glen) Buter, Dianne Moll, Dan Miller, Jason (Katherine) Miller, Jennifer Sherwood; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Vicky. A service to remember and celebrate Rick’s life will be Wednesday, September 6, at 11:00 AM at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. A private family graveside service will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Rick may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
