Mr. Richard E. Musk Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Richard E. Musk, Sr., age 87, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 12, 2014 at his home. He was born October 21, 1926 in Muskegon to John and Grace (Town) Musk, and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Musk worked at Dresser’s for over 20 years before retiring, and was a WWII United States Marine veteran. He was a member of the VFW Derezinski Post #7729, the Holton American Legion, and the Holton Gun and Bow Club. He also loved to play poker. On September 30, 1950 he married Colleen C. Swifteney, and she survives him along with 3 children, Terry E. (Diana) Musk, Cheryl Gundy, and Craig Musk, all of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sons, Steven W. Musk, Edward J. Musk, and Richard “Rick” Musk, Jr. The funeral service for Mr. Musk will be held Monday, February 17, at 1:00 PM atThe Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave.Muskegon, 49442, (231) 726-5210 with Rev. Ben Jansen officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service.
