Dick was 3 years older than I but we were very close as cousins growing up in the same community, Avondale, MI. He had a great sense of humor and was a loving and kind person. It was a very unfortunate accident that took his life. I am so sorry for Judy and his children and grandchildren and all the rest of us who cared for him. May he Rest in Peace with the heavenly father he so loved.
My wife Bonnie and I became friends with Richard and Judith, while they attended Reed City Church of the Nazarene. Our condolences and prayers go out to their family. Praying for Judith's recovery
I've known Dick ever since I was a little girl. His family lived across the road from my grandma and granddad. Was so shocked to hear of his death. Got to know Judy and enjoyed the times we talked about the Lord. I know he is in heaven with his Heavenly Father and a joyous reunion with his loved ones who went before. looking forward to seeing you again my friend, and your mom and dad as well as my own.
I have known Dick my entire life; we were cousins born three days apart, rural neighbors, schoolmates through Avondale country school and graduates of Evart High. We have remained in contact over the years. I am both shocked and saddened by his death and have contacted other cousins. Thinking of Judy and children and grandchildren. Ellen Shanafelt

So very sorry Dick has come to the end of his earthly life. He was kind and loving man that we were glad to call a friend. It is a comfort to know that he is home with the Lord he loved and served for so many years. We are praying for the hearts that will miss him, including ours.
