Richard T. Pullen's Obituary
Richard Tansey Pullen, age 85 went to be with the Lord on Monday afternoon, June 6, 2016. He left this world surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home. His time on earth was anything but ordinary, uneventful, or unfinished.
He was raised on a farm in Cutler, Indiana, went on to graduate from Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering. He had a long and successful career in management with Westinghouse Electrical Supply spanning much of the United States as well as abroad.
Dick loved playing golf, spending quality time with friends and family, and was an avid reader.
He and his family were blessed to spend his last days together. He never lost his quick wit and great sense of humor. Dick will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Not a day went by when his compassion, humor, and intelligence went unrecognized by those around him.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Flossie Pullen and his brother Charles (Charlie) Pullen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judie Pullen and his four children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Richard Pullen, Jr. (Deb), Debra Hansen (Kirk), Leslie Bryan (Larry), and Christopher Pullen (Alexandria), Harrison Pullen, John Pullen, Rachel Pullen, Jacob Pullen (Rebecca), boy due in the fall, Hannah Pullen, Elizabeth Pullen and Caleb Pullen. He is also survived by niece, Jan Johnson (Mark).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Richard may be given to the American Kidney Fund. Please sign the family’s online guestbook at www.vbkfuneralhome.com.
