Richard "Rick" James McKenney's Obituary
Mr. Richard “Rick” James McKenney, age 64, passed away on February 21, 2025, in Muskegon surrounded by his family. He was born in Charlevoix, Michigan on December 4, 1960, to Cyril and Edna (Hooker) McKenney. Rick enjoyed his job in interior painting and design for 35 years prior to his medical retirement. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, working in his yard, and being outdoors. Rick also enjoyed joking around and pranking his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Ann (Felt) McKenney; four children, Jeremy James (Nicole) McKenney, Carla McKenney, April McKenney, and Lisa McKenney; 10 grandchildren, Hailey, Kiley, Brendyn, Robert “RJ”, Lucas, Jayden, Aaliyah, Landon, Arya, and Serena; sisters, Cynthia Tasker, Sharon Veen, and Barbara (Chuck) Nauta; sisters-in-law, Patti Pulsifer and Kelly (Mike) Matti; brothers-in-law, Marvin “Leroy” Jinkins, James “Jimmy” Felt, Greg (Janie) Felt, and Richard “Rick” (Cindy) Felt; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donna Jinkins. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church, 3593 Whitehall Rd., Muskegon, MI 49445.
