Richard Jon "Dick" Scholten's Obituary
Mr. Richard Jon “Dick” Scholten, age 71, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at his home. He was born November 4, 1941 in Holland, MI to Raymond and Julia Scholten and lived in the Muskegon area since 2001. Prior to retirement in 2003, he worked over 20 years as a newspaper distributor. He was active with the Fremont Hog Group and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, biking and inventing. SURVIVORS include his best friend, Linda Crane of Muskegon; 2 sons, Douglas Scholten of Stevensville, Gene (Dawn) Scholten of Holland; 2 grandchildren; 1 sister, Judi (Jack) Heuvelhorst of Grandville. He was preceded in death by his parents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street,(231) 798-1100, with Pastor Jerry Hagans officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service, 12-1 PM Tuesday.
