Richard Simikowski's Obituary
Richard Simikowski, age 63, of Spring Lake passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at home. He was born February 28, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois to George and Genevieve (Lisowski) Simikowski. He married Christine Andrasek on September 22, 1984, in Lemont, Illinois.
Richard graduated from the Academy of Arts in Chicago. He prided himself on being an artist, loved painting, doing art fairs and creating anything with his hands. Richard also worked for Zelenka Nursery and Meijer Stores.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Christine Simikowski; daughter, Michelle; two sons, James Brown and Neil (Martin Tomaj) Simikowski; three grandchildren: James “J.T”, Jonathan and Zoey (who he loved taking to the park); two great grandchildren, Mila and Josephine “JoJo”; his sister, Aimee (Marty) Molina; two brothers, Bruce (Carol) Simikowski and George (Rosie) Simikowski; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
According to his wishes no services will be held. Memorial contributions to his family, American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans are appreciated.
