Mr. Richard Lee Speck Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Richard Lee Speck, Sr., age 65, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 11, 2012 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on June 6, 1947 to Robert and Erma (Taylor) Speck. Rich was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. He had worked as a welder at Shaw Walker- Knoll Group before retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, West Michigan Tour Riders, Brothers of the Third Wheel, and attended Newman Chapel. On February 14, 1986, Rich married his loving wife of 26 years, Margie, and she survives him along with his children, Ruby Speck, Richard Speck, Jr., Thomas Gilmore, and Renee Turner; 7 grandchildren, Kelci, Kaylee, Konner, Tabby, Briana, Kristen, and Jenna; his sister, Barbara Steinman; several nephews; and his sidekick, Samantha, his dog. SERVICES will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 14, 2012 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210 with Rev. Mel Hesselink officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS may be made to West Michigan Veterans, Inc. INTERMENT will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery.
