I am so sorry to hear the news. Richard was a great friend and Beth and I so enjoyed our times with him and Becky at Maranatha and other times of the year when we would get together for dinner. He was a great sounding board for me and a strong supporter of the Great Lakes Justice Center. He had common sense, a keen intellect, and always offered good advice.
It was so much fun to laugh (and groan) at his jokes at the meetings and talent night. He was always good-natured about our waving the white paper napkins in surrender to his telling more jokes! It was fun to watch him one year generously throw out into the crowd his Maranatha hats (earned at the talent shows over the years) to all the kids at the Sweet Shop. Maranatha will never be the same! We look forward to more good times with Becky and please know you and the family will be in our prayers.
His was a life well-lived. Thank you for your friendship and solid witness for Christ over the years. We will miss you Richard and we look forward to seeing you again.
