My Uncle was a friend to many in the community. He considered his friends an extension of his own family. Despite his physical challenges in life, he never wanted or expected sympathy from anyone. In fact, he would often make self-deprecating remarks about his limitations. He made up for all of it by being a "people" person. Whether it was in his job, the many organizations he worked with, or volunteering, my Uncle was always eager to contribute his talents and people skills to help with whatever cause he was participating. To his family, he was always generous and kind. When my Sister and I were younger, he played games with us, took us fishing, riding in the motorboat and all the time acting like he was a kid again too. No matter what, he always made time for all of his family, in good times and bad. I join with my Sister and thank everyone who has contacted us with prayers, positive thoughts, and fond recollections of time spent with my Uncle. Thanks also to those family and friends who attended his interment. Your presence meant a great deal to all of the Veurink, Winslow, and Kulba Families. To my Uncle, thank-you for all the great times and the financial and emotional support over my 50+ years. I love you!
Dick was a great member of our Antique Outboard Motor Club (AOMCI) - Wolverine Chapter and a good friend. I always enjoyed our chats together at our summer meets and we shared stories together. He will truly be missed and forever remembered by all of our club members. R.I.P. my friend. (Picture taken December 2019)

I've known Dick for 25yrs. He was very passionate at working bingo and loving his cars. He had a big heart. He was filled with lots of jokes to tell that we all enjoyed. His memory at bingo will stay forever. Thoughts and prayers for family.
He called more than one jackpot for me during my bingo days. I really liked him and sorry to hear of his passing. Rest In Peace Dick.
