Richard Lee Voss' Obituary
Mr. Richard Lee Voss, age 77, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at his home in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on December 17, 1938 to Harold and June (Thorne) Voss and was a life-long resident of the area. Richard was a graduate of Western Michigan University. He was employed by Cannon Muskegon as an engineer before retiring in his mid 40’s. He then went into business with his brother and became co-owner/operator of Micr Graphics/Billy the Printer. Richard enjoyed keeping an immaculate yard, feeding the birds, and traveling. He also enjoyed flying and was a past member of the West Michigan Flying Club. On July 3, 1964, Richard married the former Monika Katrin Sprinz in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on March 27, 2015. He is survived by three sons, Richard L. (Traci) Voss, Jr. of Cora, Wyoming, Randy A. Voss of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Ronald J. (Jan) Voss of Muskegon; seven grandchildren, Kristen, Dante, Caleb, Jared, Josiah, Shelby and Brandon; two brothers, Ronald D. (Deb) Voss and Dan (Bonnie) Voss; one sister, Sue (Frank) Spyke and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Richard was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Toni N. Voss; grandson, Isiah Voss and three sisters, Pat Roltsch, Bunny Sluyter and Mary Voss. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. Scott Church officiating. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Friday, December 2, 2016 at The Lee Chapel. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
