Richard Wardell's Obituary
Mr. Richard M. Wardell, age 87, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2006 in Bismarck, ND. He was born October 1, 1918 to John C. and Cora R. (Henderson) Wardell in Muskegon, and lived here all of his life before moving to Bismarck. Rich retired from Shaw Walker in 1983, was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, and had been a longtime member of Evanston Ave. Baptist Church. On June 22, 1942 he married Donna B. Strong at Ft. Stevens, Oregon. SURVIVORS include his wife Donna; 4 children, Carolyn Lopez of Bismarck, ND, Beverly Hamil of Bismarck, ND, Barbara (John) Koski of Twin Lake, Susan (Clifton) Rohrbough of N. Muskegon; many grand and great-grandchildren; 1 brother, John H. Wardell of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Rev. Clifford Hamil. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at The Sytsema Chapel,Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave.(231) 726-5210 with Pastor Roy Williamson officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Restlawn Cemetery.
