Richard L. Wiegand's Obituary
Richard L. “Rich” Wiegand passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, along with his wife Tara, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born June 29, 1990, to Mark A. and Patricia S. (Smith) Wiegand in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. Rich worked as an engineer at ALUDYNE. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed fixing cars and trucks for his family and friends. He married Tara H. Picklesimer on August 28, 2010. Richard and Tara are survived by two sons, Haiden and Christopher, parents Mark (Ann) Wiegand, and Patricia Wiegand, siblings, Adam Wiegand, Tucker Zacharda and Makayla (Evan) Kops, in-laws, Randy and Cheryl Picklesimer, Randall J. Picklesimer and Travis Picklesimer. A combined service for Richard and Tara will be held Monday, September 16, at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. The family will begin gathering at 10:00 AM, before the service. A private family graveside service will take place at Holton Oakwood Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Richard and Tara may be made to Oakridge Football, 5493 Hall Road, Muskegon, MI 49442.
