Richard A. Souser's Obituary
Mr. Richard A. Souser, age 68, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 2, 2008. He was born July 20, 1940 in Muskegon to Milton and Helen (Sandman) Souser and had been a life resident of the area. Mr. Souser was an electrician for Sappi Fine Paper Co. for 44 years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and kayaking. He especially adored his grandchildren. On September 5, 1964 he married the former JoAnn Karp in Muskegon and she survives him along with 2 children, Carla (Robert) Boyd, Scott (Billie) Souser both of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Connie Barnett, Alicia Vander Leest, Eden Souser, Michelle Boyd, Sierra Boyd; 2 great-grandchildren, Noah Cadle and Keileigh Horan; 2 brothers, Wayne (Sherry) Souser of Muskegon, Russell (Sharon) Souser of California; sister, Arlene Leonard of Edgewater, FL; sister-in-law, Valeria (Donald) Schugars; and brother-in-law, Michael (Kay) Karp. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Souser; infant sister, Virginia Souser; and a brother-in-law, Jim Leonard. A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE will be held at a later date.
