Richard C. Taylor's Obituary
Mr. Richard C. Taylor, age 86, passed away Sunday evening, November 29, 2009 in Muskegon. He was born January 26, 1923 to Paul and Ella Wilma (Slaght) Taylor in Jackson County, MI, and moved to Muskegon in 2002. He worked at F. M. Huebner in Jackson for almost 40 years before retiring, and was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII where he was an MP in India. While in Muskegon Mr. Taylor attended the Family Bible Church. He married Lucille M. Ortega on August 2, 1952, and she survived him along with 3 daughters, Denise (William) Dooley of Norton Shores, Sandra (George) Dwelley of Shingleton, MI, Patricia (John) Hobart of Sterling, CO; 8 grandchildren, Richard, Randall, Diana, Sheila, Isaac, Miriam, Lesley, and Evette; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 special sisters-in-law, Lou Ann (Charles) Hardwick of Jackson, MI, Connie (Kent) Sysak of Greenbush, MI. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Thursday at the Family Bible Church, 1256 W. Broadway, with Pastor Jerry DePoy officiating. VISITATION at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. Muskegon, MI 49441 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 will be from 4-6 PM Wednesday, and 1 hour prior to the service at church.
