Richard D. Grove's Obituary
Mr. Richard D. Grove, age 71, died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 in Muskegon. He was born on November 24, 1932 in South Haven to Robert & Florence (Kopinski) Grove, and resided most of his life in South Haven until the past 6 years in Muskegon. Mr. Grove was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. He had worked at Precision Unit Master Die for 19 years until his retirement in 1996. Mr. Grove was known as a “Jack of all Trades” working with wood and machines, and as a Pilot and Flight Instructor. He was a member of Cloverville Baptist Church. On January 30, 1954 he married the former Sally Brenner, and she survives him along with 3 children, Tina Grove and Robert (Bonny) Grove, both of Muskegon, and Kimberly (Craig) Siple of Grand Haven; 5 grandchildren, Kristen & Tyler Grove, and Katelyn, Haleigh, and Brianne Siple; his mother, Florence Grove; brother, Steven (Kathy) Grove of Brighton, MI; brother-in-law, Monty (Cheri) Brenner; and 1 niece and 3 nephews. Mr. Grove was preceded in death by his father, Robert Grove. SERVICES will be 11 AM Saturday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Rev. Jonathan Rager officiating .VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM today (Friday). Burial will take place in MacDowell Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Hackley Hospital Cancer Center and Hackley Visiting Nurse Services Hospice will be appreciated.
