Richard "Dick" Britzen's Obituary
Mr. Richard J. “Dick” Britzen, age 69, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 19, 2004 in Grand Rapids. He was born July 21, 1935 to Math J. and Madelyn S. (Nielsen) Britzen in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Dick owned Sherman Bowling Center, was president of the Seaway Gun Club, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan Bowling Proprietor’s Association, and was a board member of Gentiva Health Services. He was also an honorary member of the Norton Shores Fire Department. Dick is survived by his wife, Gale; 3 children, Kathy (Scott) Olsen of Belmont, Debbie (David) Strait of Muskegon, Jackie (Bill) Britzen-Reek of Muskegon; 4 step-children, Kelley (Rick) Vanderforest of Chicago, Pam (Ron) Sage of Milford, Tim (Eva) Coddington of Muskegon, Carolyn (Jeff) Jazdzyk of Spring Lake; 10 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Carolyn (William) Bayne of Muskegon, Sandra Bush of Apopka, FL.
