Richard Douglas Drake's Obituary
Mr. Richard Douglas Drake, age 41, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010 at his home in Manistee following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born September 5, 1968 in Muskegon, MI to Richard L. and Cindy (Theodore) Drake and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life before moving to Manistee 7 years ago. He was a tribal member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. He currently worked for the tribe and operated a charter fishing boat in Manistee. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed model cars. He was a very patient person who made for his family and friends – especially his nieces and nephews. SURVIVORS include his mother, Cynthia Drake of Manistee; his father, Richard L. Drake of Muskegon; 1 sister, Becky (Tim) DenHouten of Cadillac; 1 brother, Harold (Laura) Drake of Muskegon; paternal grandfather, Richard M.
