Richard E. McMillan's Obituary
Richard E. McMillan, age 88, of Fruitport passed away December 30th in Muskegon.
He was born September 20, 1917 in Allendale to Charles W. and Jessie (Bennett) McMillan and was a graduate of Coopersville High School in 1935.
Richard retired from Gardner Denver in 1982 and was a member of Little Black Lake Baptist Church where he had served as treasurer for many years. He enjoyed gardening, reading, collecting books and keeping family journals.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beth and 2 daughters; Cheri (Benton) Young of Zeeland, Cathy (Mark) Hatfield of Fruitport, son; Charles (Lori) McMillan of Grand Haven, 11 grandchildren and a sister; Ruth Scott of Marion, Indiana.
A funeral service for Richard McMillan will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Little Black Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Garth Hutchison officiating. Interment will be at Norton cemetery. Friends may meet the family Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at VanZantwick, Bartels, Kammeraad in Grand Haven and Wednesday at church 1 hour prior to the service.
