Richard J. Tardani's Obituary
Mr. Richard Jacob Tardani, age 70, passed away at home Tuesday morning, February 17, 2009, following a long illness. Richard was born in Muskegon on July 17, 1938 to Samuel and Josephine (Schillaci) Tardani. He was a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School, Muskegon Community College and served his country in the U.S. Army. Until his retirement in 2003, Richard was a self-employed contractor. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed big-lake fishing, hunting and golf. He married the former Sharon Casler on December 16, 1978 and she survives him along with eight children; Richard (Sandra) Tardani II of Muskegon, Scott (Julie) Tardani of Spring Lake, Tami (Ron) Willard of Richmond, Kentucky, Annette (Tim) Leatherman of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Tonya (Dan) Thompson of Greenville, MI, Christina (Tim) Hildreth of Hudsonville, MI, Tricia (Mac) O’Conner of Spring Lake and Traci (Aaron) Raha of Spring Lake; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Samuel (Mary) Tardani, Philip (Diane) Tardani, Louis (Louise) Tardani and Leonard (Sally) Tardani; three sisters, Ann (Leo) Marinelli, Sister Maria O.P. and Linda (Roger) Kolkema. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Martin.
