Richard L. "Rich" Goloversic, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Richard L. Goloversic, Sr., age 61, passed away Friday morning, September 8, 2006 at a local hospital. He was born March 27, 1945 in Muskegon to John R. and Emily M. (Orovetz) Goloversic and lived his entire life in the area. On June 23, 1968, he married the former Lois L. Hershey in Muskegon and she survives him. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Prior to his retirement in 2003, he worked 37 years for Sealed Power Corp./Dana Corp. as a machinist. He attended Central Assembly of God Church. SURVIVORS include his wife, Lois; 2 daughters, LaShelle (John) Mikesell, Renee’ (David) Johnson; 3 sons, Richie Goloversic, Jr., Ryan Goloversic, Randall Goloversic all of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren, Caitria and Kieron Mikesell, Brandy (Jacob) Cook, Brittany, Joshua, and Talor Johnson, Richard J. “RJ” Goloversic; 1 great-granddaughter, Mona Sue Lynn and one on the way; his mother, Emily LaFave of Muskegon; 4 brothers, John “Jack” (Doris) Goloversic of Spring Lake, James “Jim” (Mary) Goloversic of Ishpemming, William “Bill” (Rosemary) Goloversic and Robert “Bob” Goloversic both of Muskegon; 3 sisters, Joanne (Joe) Policka of Illinois, Emily “Sandi” (David) Scheidegger of Lansing, Agnes “Star” (Ron) Baird of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and his sister, Nancy Corgan. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Central Assembly of God (896 Home St.) with Rev. Lowell Anderson officiating. VISITATION with Rich’s family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210.
