Mr. Richard M. Drake, age 89 passed away Friday, October 14, 2011. Richard was born May 27, 1922 to Joseph and Amelia (Shield) Drake in Cadillac MI. He was a lifetime resident and retired from CWC. He is SURVIVED by a son, Richard Drake Jr.; daughters, Beverly (Larry) Hall, Linda (Donald) Huntley, Shirley (Wayne) Sanchez; 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; brother, Donald Drake; sisters, Doris Neihardt, Martha Haynes. He was PRECEDED in death by his parents, wife Lula, 3 children, 1 grandson and several brothers and sisters. The funeral SERVICE for Richard will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the Sytsema Chapel. A time of VISITATION with the family will be 5-8 P.M. Monday, October 17, 2011 and 1 hour prior to the funeral service. Internment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Marion, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the family for funeral expenses.
