Richard W. McCue's Obituary
Mr. Richard W. McCue, aged 90 ½ years, was taken home on Christmas Day, December 25, 2004, where he has already been on his journey to meet his precious first wife of 56 years, Marcia, and his “wonderful son” Richard L. McCue, as he said so often. Surviving him is a daughter, Rosemarie McCue, who had been helping care for him; and also a daughter-in-law, Bonnie McCue. He leaves 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. His working years were spent first in Muskegon and then in Grand Rapids. He had a 3 ½ month trying time during his last illness, with many good friends and relatives helping him keep his vigil, including Gordy and Alyce Huss, Pete and Dot Wolford, Bud and Shirley Smith, Paul and Jo Morrison, Foster and Evelyn Gilbert, also his beloved pastor, Robert J. Condradt, of his church, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. The family would also like to thank the precious caring nurses of Hospice of Muskegon/Oceana, including his special nurse, Becki, and also his bath nurse, Barbara, who came with a smile and a kiss for him everyday and took such tender care of him. A special granddaughter, Kim Buckner, who took care of him, took care of our home and gave him cheer each and every Tuesday. A very special lady, Joanne Earl, that has been by his side and mine, his loving wife, Ivah, who has been by his side for 12 ½ years. Also, my support has come from my daughter, Mary Lummen. God bless you all. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert J. Conradt officiating. VISITATION with the family will by one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIALS to Hospice of Muskegon/Oceana or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church will be appreciated.
