Richard Alan Kozloski's Obituary
Richard Alan Kozloski, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2026, in Muskegon, Michigan.
Rick was born on June 5, 1951, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Richard and Ethel (Johnson) Kozloski. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Rick later worked as a mechanic for Fairbanks International Air in Fairbanks, Alaska, and went on to work for Eagle Ottawa Leather Company in Grand Haven, Michigan. On March 3, 2000, he married Ann Helferich in Muskegon, Michigan, and the two shared 26 wonderful years of marriage.
Rick was a sweet man who had a special soft spot for his beloved dogs, Gracie and Maggie. He had a deep passion for fishing and also enjoyed hunting, watching westerns, and playing horseshoes. Music was another of Rick’s joys, and he was often found listening to the Everly Brothers, Johnny Horton, and his favorite artist, Rod Stewart. Rick and Ann also shared a hobby of refinishing furniture together, with Rick making the repairs while Ann applied the finishes.
Rick is survived by his wife, Ann Kozloski; children, Terri (Bob) Helton, Jennifer (Russ) Kozloski, Marsha (Don) Kozloski, Teresa (Jamie) Helmen, and Robert (Jennifer) Chilcote; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister, Deborah Wheeler. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Peggy and Larry and his brother-in-law, Ike Deephouse.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
