Mr. Rick LeMieux's Obituary
Mr. Rick L. LeMieux, 58, passed away Wednesday evening, July 17, 2013, at his home. Born January 11, 1955 to Lewis and Mary (Sienkiewicz) LeMieux, he was a life resident of Muskegon. Rick had been employed at Campbell Grinder Co., and earlier at Engine Power Components Co., and was a member of Mona Lake Boating Club. On October 3, 1975 he married the former Marilynn K. Springstead at St. Jean’s Catholic Church in Muskegon, and she survives him along with three children: Michelle (Chris) Place, Kate (Dan) Scanlan, and Mike (Erin) LeMieux; six grandchildren: Madison Place, Tyler and Drew Scanlan, and Brynn, Peyton and Sawyer LeMieux. Also surviving are brothers Tom (Donna) LeMieux, Gerald (Kay) LeMieux, and Ray (Sue) LeMieux; and in-laws John Springstead and Chris (Jeff) Erickson; many nieces and nephews; and his four-legged buddy Cody. His parents, a granddaughter Emma Scanlan, and sister-in-law Paula Springstead preceded him in death. “Papa Rick” enjoyed doting on his grandkids and boating. He could fix anything. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Rick LeMieux will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 22, 2013 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444, phone 231-798-1100 with Rev. Fr. Norman Droski officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be 7-9 P.M. Sunday, July 21, 2013, and from 10-11 AM Monday at the funeral home. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the Mesothelioma Dept. at the University of Michigan or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
