Rita Ann Weinert's Obituary
Mrs. Rita Ann Weinert, age 75, passed away Friday evening, November 15, 2019, at the Hume Home. Rita was born September 16, 1944 to Garrit and Helen (Gallagher) Houseman. Growing up in Muskegon, Rita was 1 of 9 children. On December 12, 1970, she married Michael N. Weinert and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2014. Rita was a wonderful mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved children and helped raise her wonderful grandchildren. Rita enjoyed her yard, and especially loved the flowers. Rita is survived by her children, Bridget (Robert) Larabee and Michael J. Weinert; 4 grandchildren, Kourtney and KarLee Larabee and Blake and Mikayla Weinert; a sister, Julia Bradfield; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Linda Sikkenga. Rita was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Eleanor Doremire; and 6 brothers, John Houseman, Ed Houseman, Virgil (Yogi) Houseman, Raymond Houseman, Bob Houseman, and Jim Houseman. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-1100 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM).
