Robbin VanderZwaag's Obituary
Mrs. Robbin VanderZwaag, age 55, of Nunica passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. She was born July 15, 1958 in Grand Haven to Claude and Madelyn (Yettaw) Bosch and has lived in the area all of her life.
Robbin was a former pharmacy technician at Pfaff Pharmacy, Eshleman Pharmacy, Rite Aid, and Dunewood Pharmacy before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino and spending time with her family whom she held so close. Robbin had the ability to silently leave an effect on everyone around her. Her actions and the way she carried herself inspired and instilled an importance of unconditional love and unselfishness.
On January 7, 1978, she married Wayne VanderZwaag in Fruitport, and he survives her along with 3 children: Elizabeth VanderZwaag of St. Helen, MI, Matthew (Tammi) VanderZwaag of Grand Rapids, and Justin VanderZwaag of Nunica; 2 grandchildren, Mya and Avery VanderZwaag; and 1 sister, Donna Bosch. She is also survived by her brothers- and sisters-in-law: Jerri (Rick) Snyder of Nunica, Beverly (Larry) Deal of Spring Lake, JoAnne (Paul) Lundmark of Hammond, IN, Judith Keyes of Spring Lake, and Richard (Jackie) VanderZwaag of Holly, MI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Madelyn; and in-laws, Rudolph and Gladys VanderZwaag.
A funeral service will be 12:30 Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in Lakeshore Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Robbin may be given to the Johnson Family Cancer Center.
