Robert Larry Benninger II's Obituary
Mr. Robert Larry Benninger, II, age 35, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Muskegon as a result of a car accident. He was born in Muskegon on May 9, 1982 to Larry and Dawn (Black) Benninger. After graduating from Muskegon High School, Rob joined the United States Navy and was stationed in Washington for two years. After his service to his country, he continued to live in Washington prior to moving back to Muskegon in 2015. He was employed by Hughes Builders for the past two years, recently receiving a promotion to Concrete Foreman. Rob loved everything outdoors; from cookouts to bonfires, camping, canoeing, golf, but his number one priority was always his family. He is survived by his wife, Amber; daughter, Serenity Marie Prewett; parents; Larry and Dawn Benninger; friend, Pam Ippen and her daughter, Melissa Rose Lewis; two brothers, Nathen (Anita) Benninger and Scott Ward; nieces and nephew, Natasha, Trent, Ashley, Briana; great-nephew, Oliver; grandparents, Cheryl Black and Robert Larry Benninger; aunts, uncles, cousins and his faithful dog, Molly. A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. You may visit with his family one hour prior to his service.
