Robert "Bob" Olson's Obituary
Mr. Robert Beamer “Bob” Olson, age 98, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015. He was born on April 3, 1916 in Muskegon to Carl and Lillian (Beamer) Olson and resided in the area all of his life. Bob was a graduate of Muskegon High School in 1934. He grew up on the beach near Pigeon Hill and enjoyed Lake Michigan and the dunes in his youth. He married the former Agnes Dorothy Young on August 22, 1941. Bob also enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling, but most of all loved spending time with his family. He worked at Neway Equipment for 25 years before retiring in 1977. SURVIVORS include 3 sons, Brian (Christina) Olson, Donn (Lois) Olson, and Ray Olson; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Jackie Holloway; sisters-in-law, Lucille Olson and Lila Dobberstein; along with many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by wife, Agnes; his brother, Carl Olson; and son, Lynn Olson. A MEMORIAL GATHERING will be 11:30 AM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel Family Center, 6291 S.
