Mr. Robert L. Bonnell's Obituary
Robert L. Bonnell, age 89, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015, after a battle with cancer. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI on May 2, 1925, to Edward and Helen (Henny) Bonnell. Bob received his Masters of Education Degree from Central Michigan University and had been employed by The Mona Shores School System as a 6Th grade math and science teacher. He attended Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. Bob enjoyed aviation and was a member of the Glenn Miller Society at Clarinda, Iowa. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting with his sons, fishing, boating, and traveling in his RV. He was an avid tennis player and member of the Norton Pines Tennis Club. The children of Robert L. Bonnell and Charlotte A. Cowan, are: Vicki, Renee, Chris, Julie, Tim and Amy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His second wife, Ruth Peterson Bonnell, predeceased him in August, 2010. A CELEBRATION of Robert’s LIFE will be held from 1:30 - 3:00 PM Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Unity Reformed Church - Fellowship Room (1521 Porter Road, Norton Shores, MI 494410.
