Robert J. Check's Obituary
Mr. Robert J. Check, 63, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020, in Muskegon. He was born April 29, 1957 to George J. and Eleanor C. (Uhor) Check in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. He worked for the Muskegon County Road Commission before retiring. Bob enjoyed playing with his grandkids, watching football, especially the Steelers, snowmobiling, fishing, and spending time up north. Outside of work, Bob spent a lot of time and enjoyed working on anything and everything mechanically related. Survivors include one son, David (Emily) Check; 3 grandchildren, Evelynn, Grace and Max; siblings, Richard (Vicki) Check, Carol Check, Debra (Rick) Versalle; special nieces and nephews, Ricky, Kara, and Kyle. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother George Check. A time of gathering with the family will take place Tuesday, August 11, from 2-4 PM under the south portico at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, 49444, with time of sharing beginning at 2:00 PM. Contributions in memory of Mr. Check may be made to the American Cancer Society.
