Rev. Robert James Conradt's Obituary
Rev. Robert James Conradt, age 72, of Muskegon passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital. He was born in Detroit to Walter August and Mary Ellen (Dosemagen) Conradt.
Bob graduated from Concordia College in Ann Arbor with a Bachelor’s degree and then went on to Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he earned his Master’s degree in 1979. Rev. Conradt served at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Detroit and then Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Muskegon until he retired. Bob was committed to his faith, church congregation, and enjoyed being in the Lutheran Kids Club at church. He was a people person, devoting his life to the Lord. Building upon the theme given by his childhood pastor, the Rev. Dr. E.H. Buchheimer, “Duty is ours; Events belong to God”.
He will be lovingly remembered by two brothers, Mike (Debbie) Conradt and Dennis Conradt; nieces; nephews; his Day cousins; and extended family, Dennis Baaso, Sarah Baaso and family; Victoria Pearson and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Larry Willyard and Harold Conradt.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Grand Haven. Interment will be in St. George Cemetery, Kenosha, WI.
