To the Constant family - I just read this online, my heartfelt prayers and condolences are with you! I try to stay up to date on friends from high school, so Jane, know that I am thinking of you and that you may find comfort in happy memories and family.
Sincerely,
Brandon "Bob" Hitsman

Bob was in my graduating class; although I did not know him well, the Constant family represents everything Grand Haven! Bob excelled in sports and academics, and made our class proud!! His dad was my history teacher, and also my dad's homeroom teacher. My condolences to the entire family.

Traci and family.
I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of this cherished friend and family member. I had the honor for several seasons, on the football field, to be playing next to Bob, be it returning kickoffs and punts, blocking for him on offense or playing deep on defense. Oh, the stories I could tell you of our conversations on the field...but one thing always stuck with me, he always had a "plan". Who we were going to target, what way we were going to go, which of us was going to blitz or to do nothing at all and let the ball roll into the endzone. Whatever the situation, "there was always a plan." Even when playing cards with him "there was always a plan" (to take my money, which I often, reluctantly let him). Make the plan then excute the plan!
As difficult as it is we must now be still, let the ball roll into the end zone and submit to Gods plan.
It was a true pleasure and honor knowing your husband, father, brother and son. He brought out the best in us as individuals, athletes and men.

My thoughts and prayers to your entire family. Bob was an incredibly gifted athlete and a joy to be around. His enthusiasm for life was a result of having such great parents and siblings! Ron Clark
Traci,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I was so saddened to learn of Bob's illness, its rapid progression and his recent passing. I thought/prayed for Bob through out his illness and find myself thinking of him regularly over last week.
He was a remarkably gifted high school athlete and a long term friend whom I will miss dearly.
