Robert E. Deming Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Robert Deming Jr., age 67, passed away at home with his family by his side on Sunday, March 14, 2021 following a brief illness. He was born in Muskegon on May 7, 1953 to Robert and Helena (Chum) Deming Sr. and graduated from Grand Haven High School. Robert was employed by National Products for over 20 years and Sintel for 16 years prior to his retirement last year. He enjoyed car racing, especially NASCAR, and collecting model cars. He also had a love of music and had an extensive record collection. Robert is survived by his three children, Shannon Deming, Patty (Jerry) Rupe, and Jennifer (Kerry) Reed; five grandchildren, Desiree Marie Rupe, Liam Francis Scott Deming, Theresa Victoria Deming, Derek Michael Rupe, and Layla Maree Neiser; and sister, Sue (Ron) Hill. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Monday, March 22, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Due to current state restrictions, masks are required, and we are limited to 25 guests indoors. Please be courteous of the time spent with family as others will be waiting. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Shiloh Tabernacle Church (460 E. Tyler Road, Muskegon, MI 49445) with Rev. Verne Wright officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. MEMORIALS in memory of Robert may be directed to the American Cancer Foundation or the American Liver Foundation.
