Robert "Bob Elenbaas' Obituary
Mr. Robert “Bob” Elenbaas, age 71, of Spring Lake passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at home. He was born December 29, 1941 in Holland to Louis and Theressa (Voss) Elenbaas.
Bob was a veteran of the US Navy. He enjoyed hunting and was a proud member of Ducks Unlimited. He was also a member of the Holland Kennel Club and the Autism Society of West Shore.
On August 28, 1991 he married the former Linda McClain in Grand Haven and she survives him along with three children: Jessica (André) Domingues of Spring Lake, Justin Elenbaas of Holland and Kate (Jeff) Voetberg of Montana; three grandchildren: Tristan, Maggie and Lily. He is also survived by four siblings: Bill Elenbaas, Linda (Larry) Glaza-Herrington, Joan Glaza, and Ed (Julie) Glaza; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Theressa, two brothers, Paul and Thom Elenbaas.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM Monday, June 24, 2013 at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be given to Autism Society of West Shore (www.asws.org).
