Robert James Fitzgerald's Obituary
Mr. Robert James Fitzgerald, age 76, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 in Muskegon. He was born in Traverse City, Michigan on December 19, 1940 to Richard and Anna (Kluth) Fitzgerald. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army. He had worked for many years as a well driller at Riegler Well Drilling prior to his retirement. On March 27, 1965, Bob married the former Marlene Howard. Together they enjoyed several cruises and spent numerous winters at their home in Sebring, Florida where they made many great friends. Bob was an avid golfer and was very handy. He could fix just about anything, and was always willing to help family members out when they needed something done. He is survived by his children, Bob (Tracey) Fitzgerald, Nerita (Dick) Czarny and Connie (Mark) Mathews; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dixie Davis and Janet (Bob) Taylor and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene; his parents; brother, Jerry Fitzgerald and two sisters, Bonnie Douglas and Patsy Enders. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 7, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to his service.
